Light keeper

Despite increasingly sophisticated navigation tools, the lighthouse remains a safety tool for those at sea, and it is always with relief that one finds the light where it is supposed to be. The people who ensure that the light lights, still participate of the survival of all at sea, with the gratefulness of all concerned.

Having initially planned on painting the handrail of a winding stairs, the picture kind of filled itself to get there. Oils with an egg-based medium.
