Portrait from memory of someone alongside whom I learnt the trade of woodworker. I had the privilege of witnessing her transformation from teenager to woman. It is the transition from youthful simplicity to mature complexity that I sought there.

Dry-brushed oils built up with wet in wet oils extended with a medium of Venice turps, turps and walnut oils. finished with glazes using the same medium.
